Please tell us what it is that you do as a chemical engineer. This question "What do chemical engineers do?" is posed to us at least once a week. It is so hard for us to respond to it well, because there is no "typical" chemical engineering career. Our hope is that we can gather a collection of experiences that our graduates have had in their work. This kind of information can be very valuable in helping prospective and current CE students choose a career path.
So tell us here anything you think might be useful in helping someone understand what chemical engineers do. Describe your career, a big project, or just a typical day. Your description, along with many others that we hope to collect, will together provide a complete and accurate portrait of the chemical engineering profession.
The information you submit will be placed on our site so that our present students may view it. However, we cannot post the information to the site without your name and contact information (so that we can confirm it with you). You may elect to have us remove your name before posting your entry to our site.
Please provide at least one way to contact you:
