Chemical engineering graduates command high salaries. According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics Occupational Outlook Handbook, the starting CBE B.S. salary in 2008 was over $59,000 and was over $68,000 for a starting M.S. The median income for all CBEs was over $78,000 (source: www.bls.gov).
